Responsibilities

MaxLinear Austria is seeking a highly experienced Test Development Engineer to join or growing team.

The successful candidate will be based in our office in Villach (Austria) and will work closely with design and engineering teams in Villach as well as MaxLinear and supplier teams across the globe.

 

In this role, you will be responsible for the development of ATE test solutions for highly integrated RF SoC ICs for Wireless and Cable applications, from the test concept, through first silicon evaluation, to the ramp of the test package in high volume production

  • Develop test programs and design test hardware, including evaluation, debugging, optimization and production transfer
  • Develop characterization programs and analyze resulting performance data
  • Cooperate with circuit designers, product engineering, and other cross functional team regarding test evaluation, qualification, analysis and debugging of first silicon as well as in the failure analysis
  • Define and realize test cost ratios and maintain test package during ramp-up and volume production

Qualifications

  • Deep knowledge of RF, Mixed Signal, and Digital principles
  • Strong expertise in developing multi-site Advantest 93K test solutions for complex SoCs and developing high performance RF ATE hardware
  • Highly skilled in Java, C, C++, C# or automation scripting
  • Experience with electronic bench-test equipment: oscilloscopes, logic analyzers, pulse and signal generators, power supplies, DC source/measure
  • Knowledge of DFT / DfM / DfA methods
  • BS in Electrical Engineering or related + 10 years of experience, or MS + 8 years of experience, or Ph.D. + 5 years of relevant experience in the field of IC Test development
  • Fluent English skills
