Responsibilities

MaxLinear is seeking a Program Manager to join our growing team. In this role, you will focus on the following:

  • Work with cross functional silicon engineering teams to successfully execute new product developments (NPD)
  • Monitor and report on key status
  • Work proactively with leads to manage changes, identify/highlight/resolve issues and mitigate risk
  • Utilize standard templates and methods to create and track program plans
  • Follow NPD processes and ensure quality of the deliverables for every phase of the program
  • Facilitate and track key technical issues with cross functional teams
  • Facilitate cross functional communication and conflict resolution, task prioritization, and key program decision making
  • Inform management of project status and escalate risks/issues for the programs in a timely fashion
  • Track post silicon bugs found in characterization and facilitate the closure of each item towards production release
  • Support engineering leads in detailed scheduling of project tasks and dependencies to ensure phase gate milestones are met to support program goals
  • Prepare and track program budget

Qualifications

  • Some experience within the semiconductor space is required. This can be from within program management or from within silicon, technology or product engineering roles
  • Good communicator and organizer with experience collaborating with cross functional teams in a global matrixed organization
  • Excellent project planning skills including the use project scheduling tools like MS Project,  experience with Excel & PowerPoint and MS Teams
  • Good understanding of IC development and/or silicon characterization/validation
  • Experience delivering semiconductor-related projects on time and within budget
  • Good balance of technical,  program management and interpersonal and skills
  • Ability to see bottlenecks, obstacles and inefficiencies to speed up time to market
  • Experience utilizing phased gate NPD processes
  • Experience with analog/power devices is a plus
  • Degree in Electrical Engineering preferred
  • BS+ 6-10 years of experience, or equivalent
