Responsibilities

MaxLinear is seeking an experienced Staff Test Development Engineer to join our growing team.  You will work closely with design and engineering teams in Singapore as well as MaxLinear supplier teams across the globe.

  • Responsible for developing test hardware for of highly innovative integrated circuits
  • Design of printed circuit boards for Semiconductor Test applications utilizing either Cadence Allegro from component creation, schematic, layout to generation of fabrication/assembly files
  • Produce PCB layouts for complex RF, Mixed Signal, and high-speed designs
  • Generate manufacturing files and produce supporting documentation for these designs, including Gerber, fabrication, and assembly drawings
  • Develop and maintain a component database, including schematic symbol library, and footprint library
  • Liaise with end user on design requirements and timeline
  • Liaise with PCB fabrication and assembly house for fabrication and assembly requirements and issues of the design

Qualifications

  • Good understanding of RF, Mixed Signal, and high-speed designs
  • Extensive knowledge of schematic capture and PCB layout, preferably with Cadence Allegro
  • Working knowledge in logical net-listings, schematics usage, electrical and routing rules creation, signal and power integrity optimization
  • Experience with designs utilizing blind, buried and micro vias is a plus
  • Expertise developing multi-site production test hardware for complex RF SoCs
  • Excellent communication skills
  • Degree/Master's Degree in Engineering with at least 8 years’ experience in the field of ATE load board design
