MaxLinear is seeking a Staff Software Engineer to join our team. You will be responsible to design, implement and maintain the main frontend/backend/database component of a cutting-edge Automation Framework inside the company.
In this role, you will focus on the following areas:
- Be the reference person to take technical decisions regarding frontend, backend and database (both relational and non-relational)
- Propose new solutions and evolve the system to accommodate the needs of the different projects inside the company
- Work inside a multi-disciplinary team based in Valencia in touch with the technical leads of the different chipset teams, based all around the world
- Work closely with DevOps teams to integrate and support test frameworks into CI/CD flow
- Provide solutions to scale infrastructure to support multiple software configurations
- Provide infrastructure solutions to meet QA and Development teams workflows
- Learn how infrastructure is deployed and implement new deployment features
- Quality Assurance: Maintain a high standard of quality for all deliverables, by implementing best practices for testing, code reviews, and documentation
- Innovation and Research: Encourage and lead innovation and efficiency improvements, taking advantage of the latest technologies in the market.
MaxLinear is seeking a Staff Communications System Engineer to join our experienced team in the Valencia design center. The ideal candidate will possess a great understanding of the architecture of communication systems and their end-to-end performance. Your responsibilities will include:
- Research, design, verification and test of DSP (Digital Signal Processing) algorithms (modulators, demodulators, filters, equalizers, channel coding, echo cancellers, …) for broadband communication SOCs.
- Design, verification and test of signal impairment correction algorithms enabling higher performance from the analog front end. Work closely with the RFIC and RF systems teams to optimize the overall system.
- Definition, specification and test of the HW/SW partitioning of complex DSP, Control and Data Path blocks. Collaboration with the ASIC Design and Firmware engineering teams to ensure the correct implementation.

MaxLinear’s team is growing and we are seeking a Senior Digital IC Design Verification Engineer. In this role, you will focus on the following:
- Contribute to ASIC verification development
- Creation of block level and/or device test plans, testbench development, and testcase execution
- Work closely with mixed signal teams for integration of high-speed analog behavioral models
- Work closely with the design team to assist with pre-silicon debug
- Provide documentation for test plans and testbenches
- Assess functional code coverage reports and augment testcase to meet defined test goals
- Prepare task list, effort estimate and commit to schedule
MaxLinear’s team is growing and we are seeking an Senior Staff Digital IC Design Engineer. In this role, you will focus on the following:
- Support ASIC SOC/IP design and development at various stages including from initial feasibility through to final device production
- Creation of SOC/IP block level and/or device level RTL for efficient power / area / performance design and implementation
- Work closely with mixed signal teams for integration of high-speed analog circuits
- Work closely with the verification team on test plan and debug/fix failing test cases
- Provide documentation for functional description, implementation, operation, register descriptions, verification, and emulation test plans
- Provide synthesis constraints, timing closure and area optimizations
- Support various DFT methodologies and strategies
- Support pre-silicon emulation and fabricated device validation and lab debug
- Prepare task list, effort estimate and commit to schedule
- Work closely with the SW team to bring up the digital blocks both in pre-silicon emulation and silicon validation
